My 70th birthday will be on 30th December 2024 but I will actually be celebrating it on Saturday 18th January, 2025. I will be hiring the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford and showing two of my favourite movies over a 8½-hour period. You can come for the whole period or just one movie, or just the break, as you choose.

12:00 Guests arrive. Hot dogs (vegetarian options will be available), popcorn and confectionery available.

13:00 Movie #1 starts

15:15 Interval

17:15 Movie #2 starts

19:30 Time to go home!

The venue is the Cramphorn theatre.

It is a 3 min walk from Chelmsford railway station. There is Pay & Display car park nearby in Coval Lane.

If you are staying locally there are a number of hotels in the area at different price points.

The bar will be open as you arrive and during the interval. We’ll buy you your first two drinks. Just make sure to take two tickets as you come in and present them to the bar staff for your free drinks.

All food and confectionery will be free.

We love movies and would like to make the movie experience as enjoyable as possible. We ask that you:

•     don’t bring children, this is an adults-only event (though the movies will not contain     strong violence),
•     don’t rustle confectionery packaging,
•     keep mobiles off and
•     no talking!

You are welcome to come for just part of the day, but you will not be admitted to the cinema after either movie has started.

Please do not bring presents. Donations to the designated charity, National Numeracy, will be welcome.
